Commercial General Liability
Commercial
General Liability insurance is designed to protect
property owners, businesses, professional and other
commercial concerns from the costs associated with
legal judgements and defense fees for claims involving
property damages and/or bodily injuries caused to
other organizations or individuals. The purchase of
Commercial General Liability insurance is therefore, a
risk-financing tool used to pay for the defense and
indemnity for coverages of these losses.

| Under the Bodily Injury
& Property Damage (Part A) portion of the policy,
coverage is provided for losses that are based on two
broad categories: -- Tort Liability and Statutory
Liability (strict liability under the law).
Part B of the Commercial General Liability policy
pays for damages for personal injury and advertising
injury. These policies often provide first-dollar
defense coverage necessary in today's litigious
society. While this coverage offers liability
protection for a broad range of loss exposures, more
specific types of coverage may be necessary for
certain professionals and situations.
Among the many types of coverage BWD can offer in
its commercial general liability policies are:
- Premises operations liability
- Completed operations liability
- Product liability
- Vendors' protection
- Personal injury liability
- Fire damage legal liability
- Employee benefit liability
- Advertising injury
- Liquor legal liability.
